The sunshine, atmosphere, music and hockey were brilliant. Thank you to everyone involved, on and off the pitch!
In particular, we wish to thank:
✨ Our umpires – Damien Deefholts, Rob Gardiner and Shane Hartney – who travelled from Melbourne and Bendigo. Also, thank you to Anne Murray who was the Technical Official for all three Grand Finals.
✨ All the volunteers who helped in the canteen, and our canteen managers for their outstanding organisation this season: Claire Walsh, Ava Walsh and Amelia Glazebrook.
✨ The spectators who cheered from the sidelines – it was amazing to see such a great crowd all day, including many of our Life Members and past players.
Congratulations to the Premiers and Runners Up:
B Men: Strikers Hockey Club defeated SYC Hockey Club in a thrilling shootout 5-3, after being 1-1 at full time.
Women: Echuca Moama Hockey Club scored in the last 10 seconds to defeat SYC 3-0, in what was a very even match.
A Men: The scoreline didn’t reflect how tightly contested the match was, with Strikers taking the win 10-0 against Echuca Moama.
